Description
Logistics and the movement of goods are a key component in the functioning of modern supply chains, involving activities ranging from the transport of goods to warehouse management. This process involves close coordination between various actors, including drivers, warehousemen and loading and unloading operators, in order to ensure efficiency and optimal delivery times. Inventory management, the organisation of the flow of goods and the use of advanced technologies, such as automated warehouse management systems, are some of the aspects that make fast and safe handling possible. However, despite automation, the risk of accidents remains high, especially for those working in direct contact with goods.
For this reason, safety footwear is an essential element in preventing accidents and minimising risks by protecting operators’ feet from injuries resulting from impacts, falling objects or slips. The adoption of this personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory in many work environments, such as warehouses and distribution centres, where the risk of accidents is high. Safety footwear must meet specific safety standards, offering not only protection, but also comfort, to ensure durability during work shifts.
